- The Armed Forces community should not face disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services
- Special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those who have given most such as the injured and the bereaved
The Armed Forces Covenant was signed by the Mayor of Hadleigh in January 2021, pledging to promote and support serving, veteran and families in and around Hadleigh. The full commitment Hadleigh Town Council signed up to can be viewed here. Hadleigh Town Council was also awarded the Bronze Certification as an employer of ex-forces personnel.
Activities in support of the covenant will be updated on this page as and when. Currently the Mayor is promoting retailers in Hadleigh to sign up to the defence discount service (business link to sign up is https://www.defencediscountservice.co.uk/addaforcesdiscount.php).
