The next annual Mayor’s Award will be announced at the Annual Town Meeting in May 2023. Details to follow.
Past Mayor’s Award Winners:
Annual Award 2023 – Yanaka Holmes. Yanaka was nominated for the Mayor’s Award by her Young Carers Adviser from Suffolk Family Carers for revamping the Wellbeing Room at Hadleigh High School. Not only did she organise a cake sale to raise some of the funds to do this she also spent 2 days of her summer holidays painting the room and picking furnishings.
Annual Award 2022 – Claire Levitt, who is a great ambassador for cricket. She has been involved with Hadleigh Cricket Club, Suffolk for a number of years, coaches the young people, is vice captain of the ladies team and is driving the latest England and Wales cricket board initiative to promote women and girl’s cricket within the community. Claire is a credit to the cricket club and to the town.
Annual Award 2021 – Jan Devey, for all her time spent co-ordinating the volunteers for the Hadleigh vaccination programme.
